What all free upgrades can I do to a 1g?

i bought the act 2100 series clutch and i took the cylinder cover box off that the air filter sits in off and removed the paper and bottom small honeycomb out of the maf.. what all else could i do to my 1992 gsx to make it push more boost and have more power.. oh and also its cat less with a thermal muffler on it do to the cat clogging please if u could help me out i would really appreciate it
 
there isnt a boost leak i have a tester and yah sorry i didnt specify the car ran perfect and hit 15 psi and ra like abat out of hell up to the minute that ampage regulator started throwing volts..... so if anyone hasany ideas or knows the problem please let me know
 
as for a free mod u can move the camshaft angle sensor the two bolts thats holding it down loosen them and since your cars turbo move it a lil bit to the left ( towards the car) just move it a lil bit
 
*Drop out the Cat
*Remove A\C
*Remove PWR ST
*BS Delete
*Advance Timing (on CAS or Dizzy depending on which motor you have)
*Gut Your MAF
*Chop your Airbox
 
OK you want free mods to improve the car. 1st, nothing is free. Even if it increases performance in the short run. Get a boost guage if you don't have one. Then you can start tuning. 2nd get a tuning device of some kind. If you dont know what the effect of your tuning is, you are wasting your time and shorting the life of the car. 3rd search and read. I have been involved since the Todd Day dsm.org email ring and everything for a 1G is out there. Check the old archives at Club DSM or the VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions Tom Stangle has been around forever as well. There is a welth of info to read. Set a side a week or two at least.
 
i replaced the battery and the alternator.. but when the old alternator was shitting the bed something happend and my wipers and lights went crazy.. now my headlights parking lights,dash,brake and dome lights are not working.. either are my brake lights and radio/power seatbelts..

i checkd all the fuses and wen i turn my lights on the fuse box that holds the relays clicks, so i swaped them around and everything and nothing works so it cant b a fuse nor a relay.. any ideas?????????

oh and my third brake light and my highbeams work,,, also my car stutters and cuts out if i try to get on it and literally 2 minutes before the wiper and lights thing went crazy car was running perfect


i replaced the alt fuse even though it didnt look bad (sometimes things dont appear to b broken that are)... heres the catch,, what happend with the lights were that every bulb actually blew out.. so what i was thinking is that wen the ampage/voltage regulator crapd the bed that it fried all the bulbs.. but i replaced the bulbs and I am daily driving it. but the bogging down problem still exists. from a neutral rev my car cuts out at about 4 grand unless i floor it then cuts out sooner when i drive the car it cuts out and wont go over 3 unless i ease into the pedal but still not pushing it even close to quarter of the way down..
i have been told maybe the regulator/ volts overload fried a part of my ecu and is cutting out my fuel pump but honestly no one wants to believe ther ecu is bad and 300 dollars is alot of money wen ## not sure if thats the problem.. if u have any ideas please list them and thanks again guys for everything

Anyone???? i tried everything over the weekend. i got my boost gauge working again and the car is vacuming at ten or 9 now.... when the car was running good and at 15 psi it was running a vacum of 20... so please if anyone has any idea or even thinks they might no whats rong with it let me know because i will try it...

1rst...voltage regulator went bad wich charged an overload of power through the vehicle wich fried multiple fuses and multiple bulbs..

2nd.. i removed the power steering unit and capd lines and had to take powersteering belt off.(obviously)

those are the only 2 things that happend. after both of those is when i started the car and had no power, bad gas milage, a rev limit of 3 1/2 grand, a vacum of ten, and about 2-3 pounds of boost before cutout....

I am pulling it into the garage at the end of march for all interior and body to be cleand and professionally painted so by then i would love for the car to have its balls back LOL.. thanks again for any help provided
