so i was thinking about get camshaft and cam gears, but i wasnt sure what you have to do in order to install these and what will they do for me and exactly how would i benefit from this.

Remove the valve cover, timing belt, and cam caps. Pull stock cams off. If you have assembly lube, liberally coat the lobes and journals of the new cams. Set them in place, and install caps in their original locations. Install timing belt and time engine. If you did not use assembly lube, pour clean oil over the cams before installing the valve cover. It's pretty straightforward once you dig in.

The gears can be removed and installed either on the vehicle, or on the bench.

The cams available for our cars give top end power, at the expense of low end torque. For the best results, larger cams should be installed in a head with port work done.

It will take as long as it takes ;) I hate to give times on things like this because then people start rushing and screw it up. It can take anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to a weekend depending on your level of expertise, experience, problems encountered blah blah blah. Generally it gets done in a day for the first timer.

Couple of links to follow. The first one is missing pics. The second one is more complete.
