WG DUMP SOUND Q's.

I assume you want it from an internally gated one? Sorry, no clips from me but on my 16G, an internal dump sounded exactly like I had a HUGE exhaust leak and was definitely noticable. However, with my dumped External, I can barely hear it over my 3" exhaust.

Mines the opposite...When my external WG opens on my 16g, It rips a really mean sound.

Yea, My external sounds like one of the header tubes just opens up. IT faces out teh bottom of the car and is LOUD, it shoots flames some times ( i've had people say my car was on fire before when i'd open it up next to them ) But honestly, it was cool for a while but now i'm about to put it into the down pipe so i can hear a little more of what's going on with the motor.

I use to have a o2 dump on my b16g, its loud and sounds mean but gets old after awhile. And I missed hearing the turbo spool.

I had a t04b vtrim with an internal gate with an atmospheric dump. And it was louder than my buddies external gated Jetta and Integra. It was surprizingly loud

I used to have a dumped internal on my 18g. It ####ing blew chunks. I love driving my car so much more since I put on the Evo 3 O2 housing. One of these days I'll go back to a tubular housing, but it will have an external wastegate in it.

Keep in mind that a Garrett actuator allows more travel than a Mistu actuator, so a dumped internally-gated T25 may, in fact, have a much louder dump than a 14B or 16G.

If you're running low boost, the chance that your dump will open during daily driving is a much higher possibility than if you are running high boost. Not many people nail 18psi while driving to work- but 10psi is quite achieveable. This is why dumped internal gates get such a bad rap- too many stock DSM's are out there crusing with open wastegate dumps.

I had an o2 dump on my t-25 and i hated it. I ran it about 2 or 3 weeks then went back to my stock 02 housing. Like someone stated earlier that it just sounded like an open header on a 4 cyclinder when the wastegate opens. But some people like it. the guy i sold mine to loves the way it sounds. But i guess every one has there own opinions.

heres the one I got. cant wait till it is on. i also got a tubuler turbo manifold as well so it should be sweet when all my exhaust componets are polished stainless steel.

That last video is of an external wastegate dump. No internal dumps sound like that.
