I'm trying to find a data logger that mesures knock I know dsm link does this. I'm running an SAFC on my car only reason I'm runnig the SAFC is it was free. Everything I read here says i need a data logger. I searched pocket logger but they don't make it for a 2g anymore. Any help would be great

Well just to put you on the right track, you won't be able to flash with their 1.3U wire, you can only read/log with evoscan so there is no point paying more (that's for evos, we need the 2.0 cable they have there for 217$ to flash the ecu, but you're using the SAFC anyway, so you shouldn't want it) So I'd go with the cheapest one they have EvoScan 1.3D USB OBDII/MUTIII/SSMII Datalogging Cable

but I still recommend getting it off ebay, does the same thing, cost much much less. So if you break it, you won't care as much.

thanks that helps alot i probably will order the wire from ebay you made a good point about breaking it thanks again for setting me stright on this matter

Not to steal the thread but any 409.1 VAG COM cable off ebay will work as long as the evoscan driver is installed? Because most say they are for vw or audi.

Yes, as long as your FTDI drivers are good (install ECUFlash for them) the cable will work.

It's an FTDI cable, so you need FTDI drivers. Again, if you install ECUFlash you should be fine. Reading the threads on logging/tuning/H8 here is probably a good idea too.
