No sir. A 2g is odb2 and a 1g is odb1, they are not forward compatible.

Everyone here will tell you to get a logger. Iit will help you many times over. You dont wany to be like the stupid guys at car shows that can only answer "I dont know, the shop did it" when you ask about mods. Im not bashing on professionally tuned cars but im just saying you would still benefit from a logger even if its just to check the CEL when it pops on.
