I'm in the process of replacing my clutch/flywheel in my 90 gsx. I figured I pull the pedal assembly and replace the bushings with bronze ones and have the rod welded. I can't find a decent tech article with pictures on how to do this. From what I've have found so far, it’s a pain to pull the assembly. I can't seem to find any pictures or where to order new bushings. I tested my pedal and it seems perfect with no slop what so ever. I just wanted to do this to be proactive so I won't end up making a post about how I can't shift and my clutch won't disengage. Thanks in advance.

I rebuilt mine with the kit from forced performance but their kit is OEM like parts. It is only about $30. Yea it is a pain but it not very complicated. I don't remember where I found references for mine. I don't have any pics but if you have any question I will do my best to help.

For a total of 75 bucks I believe you can buy from JNZtuning a rebuild kit. The kit includes a brand new OEM
clutch pedal
pivot arm
all 4 plastic bushings.

This has to be one of the greatest things I have ever done. I welded mine a few years back and the weld broke over time using th pedal and it also melted the plastic bushings still having some play in the pedal.

Thanks, I found the same thread. I was thinking I would try to have it welded and replace all the bushings with brass ones. I believe there was a thread about using brass bushings. Right now, my pedal feels awesome with no slop. I just figured I do it and get it over with.

Want to bring this back up. In the car I had to pull the assembly up, but now it springs back fine so is there a surefire way to check it out of the car.
