Welded studs on block question

I have a 4G63 block I'm considering building in to a stroker motor. While removing the front motor mount I found that the casting for the threaded holes for the bolts had been broken off the block. The previous owner had studs welded in to replace the bolts. My question is will this hold up to the stresses of a 2.3L stroker or should I work on finding a new block?

If it worked for him, it will work for you. Engine stroke doesn't have anything to do with it.

1G 6 bolt. I originally pulled it in '98 for my 90 NT Laser. I didn't know if there was a significant difference between a NT and AWD in the loads held by that mount.

Nope, no difference in loads. It's just a roll stop, so it doesn't actually support any weight. You'll be just fine to use it the way it is.

Chances are that someone got a little overzealous with an impact gun and broke off the original boss.
