Weirs stalling problem after exhaust install???

Ok first off my rear o2 sensor snapped I'm not to sure how much that could be contributing to the problem but it's getting replaced today but I just wanted to see if you guys had any other ideas just in case that's not my problem. Anyway I installed my cat back 3" XTUNE exhaust and the car since stalls out as soon as you press the clutch or let the rpms drop around 1k it will just die off. On top of that if the car has been sitting for a while like overnight or threw a shift at work it sounds like the battery is dead and it barely cranks over but does. After it's cranked that first time it's normal again though??? I think that is the battery dying out which i'm replacing to. But what's weird is it didn't do any of this till just rescently and the only thing that's changed is the o2 sensor breaking and the exhaust being installed.
 
On 2Gs (not sure about N/Ts) the rear o2 sensor is only to ensure that your cat works. If you snapped it or broke it and don't have anything to plug up the o2 sensor hole, you'll have an exhaust leak with the open hole, and you may get a CEL (check engine light), but it won't cause the stalling conditions you are getting.

When a battery goes dead or you disconnect it, the ECU gets reset. It then takes the ECU about 10-15 minutes of driving around for it to get used to the readings of your car with the current intake/exhaust system in your car. During this 10-15 minutes of driving, your car will stall if you don't give it enough fuel (it always does in my car), so you just have to drive around and make sure you don't let the RPMs drop low enough for the car to stall.

While you are under the car, make sure you have the grounding strap connected. If you don't want to install a rear o2 sensor, make a sensor simulator with some radioshack parts, there is a guide in the Tech section.

The o2 sensor is still broke off inside the exhaust bung. I don't have a true cat anyway so you think I shoudl just leave it in there and say #### it. It's just the wire and part of teh tip that's broke off the actual sensor is still in the bung. I could take it out and use it for my lm-1 but that's not an ideal place for it. So you think my battery is just dead or about to die?
 
Your battery being dead or being disconnected for a few minutes will reset the ECU which will cause the stalling problem.
