Ok...so I installed my new SMIM....I used the White Heat barrier gasket....Got everything put back together....

The car Starts...But when I rev it .....it dies....I only has 3 vacuum lines...1 is the brake booster..the 2nd one has a T in it and it is the FPR, and the Boost line....and the 3rd is the BOV....I cant seem to find anything wrong with it...no leaks besides the leak at the BISS screw...

Some one please help me.....any ideas?

You need to boost leak test it to 25-30psi. With the heat barrier gaskets (I run one too), if you don't torque evenly and in a star pattern, the gasket will distort and not seal correctly. I've also found using a bit of RTV helps too.

Oh, in the future, just make a detailed title like "Installed SMIM and now won't idle", instead of your existing one.

Unplug the vacuum lines and plug the nipples on the manifold. Start the car. Same problem?

-Suspect TB gaskets leaking, or manifold to head gasket leaking. Check with BLT like Blcknspo0ln said.

If it runs fine after unplugging the lines, start plugging the lines back in one at a time until the problem occurs again. Then trace that line to the problem.

OK....update....found leak between Head and manifold..I reinstalled with RVT....runs better....but still wont rev past 3k....before it wouldnt rev past 2k..then would die....now it wont rev past 3k
