I recently had stiffer motor mounts installed in my dsm at my local shop. When i got it back there has been this weird shaking in my steering wheel to the point where is kinda shaking my whole car.

I dont know if something is rubbing in my engine bay or whatever. I took a look and i cant find anything. Im afraid to drive my car not knowing what could go wrong with my car if this isnt fixed or its just fine.

Is there anything i can troubleshoot to find out whats causing this?

Any help or advice will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin D.

I think its just that, your stiffer motor mounts. They now take all the engine vibrations and distribute them through the whole car rather than absorbing the vibrations like the stock ones do. If you read around a bit about them you will see some other people have similar out comes. Hope this helps!

+1

I swapped out my old motor mounts and now when the car idles there's a vibration that shakes the steering wheel a bit and goes through the whole car in general.
