Weird spark issue, or just me?

I've been trying to figure out this little issue I've been having. My car has to turn over a lot before it actually starts up. The first thing I checked was to see how well of a spark I was getting. As it turns out, I hardly get any spark as I turn over my car. I changed plugs, wires, and finally got a new OEM coil pack. Still same problem. When I'm turning over the motor, it hardly gets any spark. But once it starts running, the spark is great. Any ideas here?

Thats my guess.

Whats the battery condition?

New.....3 years old, don't know?

Weak ignition before engine start-up is usually the battery.

I doubted my battery being the cause because the starter seemed to sound like it was getting plenty of power. But I hooked up another battery, and it started much better.

once upon a time ago I ran across a Talon TSI that did exactly what you said.

It would crank over, the spark was weak.....and finally it would start.....or not.

Hooked up the jumper cables and it cranked like it should. So I learned what I told you....weak ignition before start-up usually means the battery is dead or dying.
