i have a weird oil leak coming from the front of the engine. i changed the castle plug o-ring to a thicker one but still the same problem. when i rev the car to high rpm i get a oil mist that comes from that side. i checked all the pulleys and i dont see anything. i found other people with the same problem but they never responded back to the threat. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

yes im sure. i just got a new oil pump and gasket for that that. also i thought it was from the oil pan so i resealed that with a new gasket and sealant. i dont have the (BSEK), do you know anybody with this problem that got this and the leak stopped?

Here are the things, that could cause you oil leak in front of the engine:

front main oil seal
oil pumps sprocket seal (star shape bolt)
balance shaft seal
the bolt, that holds balance shaft tensioner pulley

The other possible thing is: That your cam seals are warned out. That way, the oil could go down through the timing cover, and it will make you think, that oil is commin out from the front of the engine

the owner before i got my car like 2 months ago had a huge and i mean huge oil leak from the balance shaft seal and i had oil every where went through about 4 bottles of degreaser and dozens of bottles of carb cleaner and a pressure washer LOL and make sure you have everything tourqued down right and nothing is lose anywhere in the motor good luck man

thanks for the idea. im going to take everything apart again today and recheck if if miss anything. im going to check for the cam seals to see if its coming from the top and just running down the engine. thanks

i disassemble the whole font of my car today to look closer for that leak. i had to run the car with all belts off except for the timing. it was coming for the oil pump, which was funny cause i bought new. it was under the balance shaft just above the oil pump it self. the hole was so small i barely saw it. just so you guys know the pump was from ebay, and like the saying goes (you get what you pay for). i paied 110 shipped so it wasnt that bad. im get a refund for and put one that i know works. thanks for all the help

Wow, go figure. Glad you found it. Go OEM with the oil pump next time.
