I'm hearing a noise in my car. Its a 96 GSX with 82k on it. Still Bone stock since I haven't been able to really drive it for obvious reasons( lawsuit bull crap in old thread ).

Back to the problem. I'm hearing the noise when I accelerate. I have an auto; so I dont really pay attention to the RPM's. I thought it was my muffler, but I know its not that anymore. So has anyone came up with an answer for what this could probably be? No can seem to answer\read it in the Diagnosis section. I don't want to bring it to a mech until I have too, because I only going to be able to drive it for 2 weeks before I leave to go to Kuwait. So please help!

Oookay... now what does it sound like? What rpm does it start occurring at and when does it end, if it does? Does it get faster with rpms? Does it get louder or quieter?

It's mostly in the lower rmps from what I can tell, because when the car really gets going it goes away. The sound though kinda has a vibration tone to it. I can't really remember the exact tone since I haven't been able to drive in awhile. Me being in California and the car in Maine. :(

This is very vague, being more specific would be helpful. Right now we have "vibration type noise at low RPM's while acceleration". Anything else?

Do you feel anything? Hesitation, inconsistent acceleration? Does the engine vibrate the whole car a bit? (If not all cylinders are firing it causes a heavy vibration at lower RPM's, but you can really feel that one).

If it was a vibration-type noise, and you thought it sounded like your muffler? But you said it's coming from your engine? Could it be something in your exhaust rattling around bumping into metal?
