weird noise ?!?!?!?!

Ok guys i need some opinons....
When my car gets up past around 3000 to 3500 RPMS it starts like clicking or knocking. .....it sounds like there is a little midget in my engine bay knocking on things with a hammer.....now I think unfortunatly it is a rod barring and that isn't to good...has anyone else had this problme or one similar to it...if so what is it and how much is it going to cost me?

My advice to you is to not drive that car how it is until you fix that problem, right now you might just need some cheap bearings if the crank is in spec, keep driving it and the repair bill will grow exponentially. You can pick up some new bearings for like $50.00, but that may or may not be the problem, simply listening to a problem and knowing what it is takes experience, like I can tell you just from the sound the car is making weather or not its a throw out bearing, I know that sound, I would get an experience mechanic to diagnose it.

Can you get an audio of the sound? I'm sure we could help identify from there. And yeah if it is rod knock and it just started you probably dont want to be driving on it unless your planning on a new engine, or rebuilding yours with machine work on the crank or oversized bearings. It'd be cheaper to fix the problem now. But i'll say i've driven 25k miles on rod knock only because i'm getting a jdm, i know my crank is worn down though.
