Someone told me that you can install extra injectors into your intake manifold in order to richen your fuel mixture if you plan on going turbo, or if you just have a car that you have modded and needs more gas. I wanted to know if this is true, or if it is as I thought, you have to replace the injectors at the cylinder to get more gas... thanks for straightening this concept out for me.

 I've never heard of a setup like that before. To get an extra plug for the injector would kinda be hard. Dont know how the ECU would react to something like that. If you need more fuel, just get bigger injectors.

If someone has ever done that before, let me know. It would be quite unique.;)

Well, essientially the concept that was proposed was that one could put these injectors there and use a piggy backed computer to mix some fuel into the mixture before it reaches the cylinder, than the regular injectors would give the rest of the needed gas inside the cylinder.

It sounds like you need some kind of standalone to do that, I believe the AEM EMS is capable of doing that. You can put up to 8 fuel injectors in our DSM's, one for primary and one for secondary.

You are correct on the standalone kit to do this... there is a turbo kit I was looking at that gives you 2 injectors that you place inside your intake manifold... yes much like nitrous... and than by doing so, you don't have to worry about buying bigger injectors and the what not. But I just don't understand if that would really work, but I guess the concept is the same as nitrous, so why wouldn't it work?

You learn something new every day, dont ya?

Not to get off topic but the only other guys in this thread from wisconsin both have turbo'd AWD's.

The injectors and stand alone helper unit are included in the price of the turbo kit... I just wanted to know if he was bullshitting me or not haha... but it did turn into a nice lesson here.

I found it interesting, but not worthy. Good information though.
