Ok, I heard from alot of people of putting resistors in the ECU harness line to be able to run turbo's low impedence injectors, is this true, can i get a write up? some pics??? I don't know how or what to do... all and any help is appreciated.

Yes you need to in order to make them work. Here's a quicky diagram on how to wire it up.

The question is why do you want to? Unless you're going turbo you don't need injectors that big unless you plan on making a black cloud like James Bond or something.

I am indeed planning on going turbo soon, but I want to do planned and staged upgrades so that I have very minimal downtime... none at all even if possible.

makes sense, but this isn't the place to start. do you intend to run the turbo ecu or just an s-afc to compensate?

I am already running the ECUPlus piggyback computer system for turbos on my NT, the only thing i can't monitor is injector duty and pulse width since they are high impedence... i can control pretty much everything else though, but once I get the resistor pack in and some 450's, i should be good to roll... I love the thing because everything is hooked up even though it is a NT car, including boost, the ecu harness on my car has a wire for it going into the ECU, the ECU probably ignores it, but it has the wire so I should be able to monitor it.

What I don't get though mavisky, is why does 1 feed wire go into the resistor than feed 4 wires? Is there some sort of relay or delay mechanism in there so the injectors are not all going off at once??? I do not fully understand this concept even though I am pretty good with electronics, I just don't understand injectors very well...

Because the power to the injectors is common but the ECU has a line to each to ground causing the current to flow through the injector and fire it. The resistors get wired to each injector since there are times when the ECU fires all the injectors at once and a single ballast resistor wouldn't work right.

what type of resistor pack should I get??? how big of a resistor... could you link me to a place where i can buy exactly what i need?

you need to get the resistor off of a turbo dsm. whether you order a new one or find one in a junkyard, that's what you need to do. i may have one at my dad's i could get you. i'll pm you if i find it.

that is awesome, becuase i have like one junkyard around here, and they only have 3 dsms... all of them are 1.8 1g's...

or 2.0 turbos that i took everything off of including engines, wiring, and anything else having to do with a turbo car :D

at least thats what i did at minnottoes, did you check at chucks aut salvage? hes alittle higher priced but has a few 1gs. also theres a guy in pennsburg thats got a few 1gs laying around, ill try to find his number

Harry's in pennsburg is the one I go to because its close, like 5min ride...
