So yesterday I had a problem with my alternator wire getting fried. I replaced the alternator wire and fuse anf the alternator itself today and everything started up fine. Now the issue is when I pull my key out if the ignition my acc power stays on. As soon as I put the key back in the ignition the acc power goes off. When the key is in the acc position none of the dash lights come on. When I start the car everything works normal. Please give me a clue. Im terrible at electrical! !!

You know you made 2 threads on this same subject!!!!!

How many of the wires did you fry? The big wire carrying power to the battery, or the wires in the plug? Or all? And how did they fry? from an external dump o2? More info would help. I've melted my share of wiring from an external dump that's why I ask. Even got into the main harness under the radiator and created ALL KINDS of issues.

I got it figured out. Fried a switch on the ignition. The switch that detects key position. Thanks for the responses
