Ive been looking at the Weapon R smim, its looks super clean, wondering if anyones used it?

Weapon-R

Also Weapon R bitches are hot.

I haven't seen any 'proven' hp/tq numbers from a Weapon-R anything, I see they make a hp claim of 45 to 90 increase with their SMIM though. Seems pretty outrageous since the Magnus SMIM is a proven manifold with TONS of R&D and they only claim 40whp increase, its also $20 less.

Unless that SMIM comes with a Weapon-R girl included in the purchase that things a rainbow anodized paper weight to me. Get a proven SMIM such as BJ's, JMFab, or a Magnus...

I know the people at weapon R for several years now since they are local. I can head over yhere and see if theyd let me dyno the car before and after to see what kind of gains it would put down.

^ second that. they all make quality proven stuff, not exciting, but the HP is

That would be awesome if they let you do that. If its proves to be worthy their sells would go up with the DSM community anyway, well maybe not but to point it out to them ;)

Only problem with that Shane it that its for a 7bolt. So it wouldn't work. And your car is never running properly. LOL

I'm not trying to bust on Weapon R stuff, if they could actually show some increase over stock IM flow and prove that the welds on that SMIM won't burst open like a can of biscuits at 23psi then its worth getting. As long as they don't charge extra for that rainbow anodizing too...

Agreed, kind of hard to spend that kind of money without actually seeing hard data. Especially when you can get a SMIM that has been proven for less money.

How have I never heard of this "BJ's SMIM" how much do they go for and are they as proven as the JMF ones? Magnus is just too pricey for my goals.
Shoot me a PM about EVERYTHING you want to know about the BJ SMIM and I'll get the questions answered. That way we keep the thread on topic and you still get the info you want... I run a BJ SMIM and personally know BJ and the work he does is amazing. I'm not familiar with Sheps setup now but I know that back in the day Shep ran a motor built by BJ along with his SMIM.

I have personally seen a BJ's SMIM and it put a Magnus Drag version to shame. They are very expensive but worth every dime. BJ will also do any custom work you need. I have personally always been partial to JMF's SMIM

You should try it, just see what they say haha ide love to see actual numbers on it.
And i think the rainbow anodizing is cute :)

Weapon R SMIM is a copy of magnus. It is complete bogus that they say it gives more hp gains. In my honest opinion your better off buying the real deal. Ive installed one on a customers car, and it didnt look half as good as the real magnus. It didnt come with any fittings and depending on what manifold you get you will need a upgraded throttle body.
