i cannot get the turbo out no matter how i manuever it because the waterpipe is in the wayl i dont want to take exhaust manifold off because im in a rush to get it done by 6pm today and ive already sliced half my finger because of the razor sharp exh.manifold gasket. and, the vfaq says i shouldnt remove the waterpipe, but i dont see any possible way to get the turbo out without snapping the waterpipe or causing some disaster. i cant lift up because the manifold is above (duh) so im wondering if it is even possible to remove a turbo (b16g) without removing the pita waterpipe, any little tricks or tips would be greatly appreciated.

f it.. its raining now. i seriously cant believe i cant find this on any forum. no one has ever removed their turbo alone...

does anyone ever reply to my posts? also, ive decided to take off the exhaust manifold do to the physical impossibilities of turbo alone, and ive noticed another impossible stunt... how do i get the farmost right bolt out, i removed the heatshield for the power steering pump (work in it self) to hopefully get to it, and it seems its still impossible with a wrench or ratchet... although i hear people magically get their turbo/manifolds off without removing ps pump..

i hate to bump but you guys arent giving me any help, was it my topic? should i make it more intriguing? ill bet 1000$ at least one of you has swapped/removed turbo/exhaust manifold, please help. this needs to be done by tommorow morning.

Why would the vfaq say not to take the water line off.Unless you are talking about a different water line then you would have to take it off anyway to get the turbo out. Just know that an unbelieveable amount of coolant is going to pour out. Just make sure you fill it up before you leave. I don't know how you are doing you install but for the far right screw i used a ratchet with about a 12" extension but i had the radiator and everything else out.
