Well i thought i completed my 6 bolt swap, and wanted to get her running last night. Well added coolant, and it started leaking.....there is a hairline crack in the waterpipe ( the pipe that runs from the water pump to the thermostat in front of the block.) it is a little crack, but was leaking pretty quickly. The crack is on a weld where the pipe T's off to go to the heater hose....am i going to have to buy a new water pipe, or is there some kind of compound i can put on there?? ( J B WELD, ect...) I really dont want to have to take it off because its going to be a pain in the ass........if anyone has any suggestions id appreciate it. Thanks

some would jb weld it and leave it. thats probably ok. if you want a new one for peace of mind, just jb weld until then.

I put a pretty decent size hole in mine, about the size of a pencil. Drained the fluid completely out, and gunked some JB Weld on there. Let that set for about 30 minutes, and put about 3 or 4 more coats over it just to be sure. 600 miles and no leakage as of yet.:thumb:

i jb welded the water feed for the turbo that comes off the water pipe when i got my agp turbo kit with oil cooled only turbo...just make sure you sand or grind away the surface around the crack and clean it really good before you apply the jb weld.

when i did a head swap on my car my valve cover went missing and i had to use this old cracked one that SPEWED oil everywhere .... i cleaned it up and jb welded it about 3 times (just to be sure) and for over 10k miles now it has not leaked.
