ok today i put a new exaust mannifold gasket on and i saw coolent coming out from the neck of the pipe. you know how the coolent hard line run rite behind the exaust manni to the passenger side on the drivers side it is leaking only when hitting boost can i just change that pipe ir should i change the whole pump please help me out thanx guys.

you can change out that pipe if you want. It is possible that it could be the oring that goes onto that pipe. As for changing the water pump you can if you have alot of miles on it but its up to you, it is a little bit of work to change it out if you have not changed one out ever.

yea i know so i cange just chage that pipe how does that come out the car runs fine but under boost it leak bad i can see the smoke stoping at a light and when i hit boost real hard in first. do you know ware i can get that pipe from

i would go get it from a junkyard or someone parting out a 1g. I would also change out that o-ring with a new one before you install the pipe. I'm thinking that your problem is that oring and not the pipe and that is why its only really leaking under boost.

All you have to do is empty the radiator and there is a bolt that holds it to the block. After you get the bolt out all you have to do is pull it out. Where in jersey do yo live? If you need a hand let me know.

If you are in a rush and cant wait for the part to be shipped there is a temp fix you can do. It is possible to jb weld the tube where it is cracked. It will hold and that way you can still drive the car.

you can try napa. But like i said if you cant wait i would go to autozone or pepboys and pick up some jb weld take the pipe off find out where it is cracked and put the jb weld over it. Let it set and you should be ok. If you need an oring i'm sure the local autoparts store will have what you need.

ok thanx man i jb welded it and it worked thank god so now i put every thing back together and now when i got on my car a ton of white smoke comes out what hell is this now please help me out what could it be. thanx man. it filles my intrerior and it is coming from under my rear bumpercoul it be oil hitting the block and burning thanx

kinda hard to tell what it is without seeing it in person. Does it smell like burning oil or is it sweet like coolant? Did you let the jb weld set? I think if you get the quick drying kind it needs 6 hours or so to set. If you want i can stop by after work one day this week and i'll check it out with you. Let me know

it could be the crush washers that go onto the oil feed line and i would also check the oil return but i doubt the return is your problem.

i would clean up all of the oil real good so everything is nice and shiny. Then i would let the car idle for a little bit you may be able to see exactly where the oil is leaking from. It could be where the return line connects to the turbo the gasket may be damaged. If it turns out to be that gasket let me know im pretty sure i have a couple of extras lying around.

the more i think of it i'm leaning towards a problem with the gaskets or return line itself. I would take the return line off and check it over for any slight cracks or anything like that. Since it only seems to be happening when your at high rpms or boost than i would think its just the extra oil pressure pushing it out past the gasket or somthing similar. Also check out the bolts on the return line make sure they are not too loose.

they are pretty small i'll get the thread size for you in a minute i think i have some old ones laying around. But you should still have the bolts going into the turbo i would just make sure they are snug. Be very careful not to overtighten them they break very easy. I think the torque spec on them is in the inch pounds.

the washer is only on the oil feed line. Its the line that goes to the top of the turbo. If you dont have those washers you can get them at napa just bring the bolt with you and pick up 2 copper crush washers. If you cant get them at napa let me know i may have some of them lying around also.

yeah it sounds like there is a good chance that is your problem. Did you take the turbo oil return line off from the turbo or the oil pan? Its probably just a loose bolt at the return line on the turbo but i would also make sure the oil feed line bolt is tight.
