Hey Guys,

I'm new to this Forum. Can anyone direct me to any threads on Water Pump Replacement. :beatentodeath:

I'm replacing mine and want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

I have a 95 Talon-Turbo FWD :talon:

Thanks

Just to get you in the right direction, i believe vfaq.com has a write up about it in the timing belt replacement article, but to save you some time, all you have to do is open the drain on the radiator (it's on the bottom) then when its done, start taking your accessory belts off (AC, water pump, alternator, then get the pulleys off of the water pump, just hold them and use a 10mm to loosen the bolts, then get the crankshaft pulley off (might want to do this with the belts still on, otherwise it likes to turn on ya..use a 12mm for that.. if need be, hold a socket on the center bolt to keep it from moving while loosening those bolts, and then get all of the timing belt cover off, then make sure all of the timing marks are lined up (crankshaft at TDC on cylinder 1, and both of the camshaft marks facing each other on the compression stroke, then use the long bolt through the motor mount to push the rod on the auto tensioner in (unless you have a new one, then just unbolt it and throw it in the garbage haha) then loosen the tension pulley and take the timing belt off, now its just a matter of taking the water pump off, getting it out (kind of have to manuever it around) then throw that away, clean things up, RTV the gasket and let it dry on the waterpump, then start putting things back together.. thats a pretty basic walk through i spose.. i dont know if i missed anything, let me know if i did..

Thanks for the help.

I need some more help.

My timing belt came off before I could align the timing marks. :notgood:

What should I do now. HELP!!!!

Don't want to damage anything.
