water pump removal and reinstall without removing timing belt?

is there a way to do this? to remove my water pump thats shot without removing my timing belt yeah i know i should do both but my belt is good it was put on around 20k ago and its not dry rotted no scuffs tears or anything looks brand new. i just need to replace my water pump and put my belt back on the alternator crank shaft and water pump. thats it.

Unfortunately, your timing belt will have to come off. That doesn't mean you HAVE to replace the timing belt, but most would recommend it being that it's cheap insurance.

It takes 2 minutes to remove the belt. You can even mark the belt and pulleys with whiteout if you want.

Yeah but I don't know what's gonna happen or even how to line up the knotches right i wanna learn just don't know where to start really I checked out the vfaq but only so much you can see on the.phone

Get a manual 25 dollar investment thats how i learned to do mine, got it right the first try.

That is why you mark everything before pulling the belt off. You also need to make a tool to compress the tensioner on the car if you don't know how to set the tension.
