The rod on the actuater is not long enough to reach the wastegate flapper hinge so I had hit the nipple with an air compressor to get the rod to extend another inch. So I could hook it up to the WG flapper hinge.

I never adjusted the rod so this is how it was.

I'm creeping up to 30lbs and just wondering if it could be caused by the rod pulling the wastegate shut.

When I set waste gate actuater in place. And hit it with the air compressor the hinge barely moves since the rod is already extended.?

Please anyone help

Is there any way you can bend the bracket holding the waste gate actuator to make the wastegate actuator get closer to the little wastegate arm. Or extend the rod somehow. That's my only guesses. And what turbo is this on? Well, now I see it's on a 16g if your profile is correct. That means I have no idea because I have never had one.

Why didn't you just add this to your other thread?

i did and nobody answered i think it got merged

thers a screw half way on the rod and looks like it might adjust length but i dont know

mhi 16g hopefully not an ebAY 16G

AND WHEN THE WASE GATE ACTUATER IS ALL BOLTED UP should the hinge move with the rod? cause mines wedged stiff

Take the wastegate off, bolt it on, adjust it untill it reaches the wastegate flapper, DO NOT PUT COMPRESSED AIR TO THE WASTEGATE WHEN YOU ADJUST IT TO THE FLAPPER, and then your problem will be solved, and if your wastegate doesn't adjust, then just leave it alone and don't boost until your order a wastegate that does fit, because what you did when you put it on was had the wastegate all the open when you put it on and boosted, well it kinda didn't open any further, so yeah.

^^^^ There you go.

Just disconnect the rod. And make it longer until it will reach the little arm while the wastegate is closed. Once it is at the right length reconnect it and you will be good to go.

If there's a bolt and thread half way on the rod does that means its adjustable .

Some one told me a real mhi big 16g doesent have an adjustable rod.
Would that one have just a solid piece of metal for the rod instead of it being threaded and have a bolt on it.

I just don't wanna make this actuater turn and end up braking it.

You have an ebay 16g. MHI actuator arms didn't come adjustable.

Just adjust that nut like they said until it opens the wastegate fully at the correct PSI.

That helped thanks a lot.
I couldent get that nut loose but I'll hit it with some pb blaster and see if anything changes
