http://www.roadraceengineering.com/2g6boltmotorinstall.htm WTF is this saying? The header just says putting a 1g engine in a 2g...I have an entire 1g engine i dropped in and didnt do the stuff about matching oil lines ? It talks about trimming a 1g water pump?WTF I trimmed my engine mount but i didnt do all that other drilling of the engine block. So is the title misleading or what."Replace 2nd generation ('95-'99) Eclipse motor with a 1st generation ('89-'94) Eclipse motor." Does this mean if you are using all 2g parts on th 1g engine .I dont get it. Thanks

Now you know why RRE built cars always break down in those Sport Compact Car events.

LOL, yeah, I don't know WHAT that's all about. I dropped in the 1G complete motor, ground away part of the motor mount, wired up the CAS, used all 1G timing belt parts, fired it up and has been running good for 3 years! Still 160psi compression in every cylinder and idles like a champ :thumb:
