It's been awhile since i tried installing this thing but i just remembered to ask about it. A few years ago i tried installing a walbro 255 hp fuel pump. Only problem was that the kit they sent me counted on me having a STOCK fuel pump to take some hoses or something from, maybe a couple other pieces i can't remember. Problem is the fuel pump i had in there wasn't stock, not sure what it was. Does anyone know if and where i can get a kit that i need to make this thing work. Or maybe just some pieces i can buy at the local parts store instead of ordering a kit. Thanks in advance.

My fuel pump assembly looks very different from that. I forgot to mention that this was a fwd turbo not awd i dont know if that makes a difference. I took some pics. My problem is that the electrical connections don't seem to match up on the hanger and the pump and i wasn't given a wire of any kind to attach the pump to hanger.

the first pic is the current stock??? fuel pump, the second pic is the walbro, and the third is just to confirm if/what type of fuel pump hanger i have. My dilemma is i have no way to attach the connector on the walbro to the white piece on the hanger. Can i just cut those o-ring connectors off the stock one and attach some um...i dont know the name of the type of connectors....and just plug them into the walbro. I always thought you weren't supposed to have any spark near the fuel tank so doing this would scare me a bit...but then again those o-ring connections are exposed so i'm kind of confused. Is there something i'm missing as far as safety is concerned. Any help on how to get this thing hooked up is greatly appreciated.

When I got my Walbro 255, it came with a wire harness clip. One end plugged into the pump, and the other fit the stock plug on the hanger. Did yours not come with it?

No, it came with the strainer, the 2 little white things, and an o-ring. No electrical connector. I did order the kit but it's been a couple years so I don't think i'll have any luck getting a free wire.

Anybody know where i can get just the wiring, or in the worst case, the kit only...all the kits I see don't show the wiring but i'm assuming it comes with it?

Also does anyone know what to do about the twisted kink on top of the hanger. If you look at the third pic, it's where the hose attaches to the hard pipe on top of the hanger.

If you look at the pics of the kits on that site it shows a wire connector for the 90-94 awd and fwd kits but nothing for the 95-99. It shows only the stuff i already have which is making me think i'm already supposed to have that wire.

Hoping someone will confirm if all the kits come with that wire connector. I'd hate to order the kit only to end up with what i already have.
