When I un hock my battery im not getting any power to test my starter. Can someone please help.

please tell me i read this wrong? when the battery is disconnected you aren't getting power to the starter? um i'm missing something!!

If you unhook the battery and the car is not on, what do you think will power the stater? - Nothing.

If you have the car running and you unhook the battery (which you shouldn't be doing because you can fry stuff) - why do you need the starter to run if your car is already running?

What exactly is the problem and what are you trying to fix?
