Viper Alarm (Siren Location)

Hey all,

I'm looking into purchasing a viper 1002 alarm system. I've read some pretty good things about viper so I'm pretty sure I'll be going with them as far as a brand is concerned. What I am curious about is their siren and it's size.

To those who have viper alarm systems, where did you mount the included siren? I imagine after I run a bigger turbo, get a fmic, and various other modifications, there won't be too much room in the engine bay.

If possible, lets see some pics.

I bought my GSX with a disconnected aftermarket alarm and they left the siren in there. It sits pretty nicely to the right of the timing belt cover, right near the black canister (I'm sure I sound stupid but I really forgot what fluid is in it!)

The hood doesn't hit it at all and it is pretty big!

You can mount it anywhere I put mine on the fire wall under the intake manifold.

I'd put it somewhere out of reach. If I were a thief I'd still the siren just out of spite.

Mine is mounted on the driver side of the engine compartment right next to the timing cover motor mount. You can see a pic in my profile.

Seems like a pretty common location. I'll have to look into placing it there.
