Washington,
Well,

Since I still can't post in the tech forum, I will post it here. I'm doing the ebay turbo install and trying to test the theory that if properly installed and checked the ebay turbos can be as reliable as MHI's. Either way one CONSTANT ISSUE with the ebay turbo's is the wastegates will not open until properly adjusted. This video shows you how to test whether your wastegate is functioning properly and gives you a quick recap of how to adjust and where to adjust if not.

You need to compile all this good info into a thread with some pics to set the record straight once and for all!

I plan on doing just that- I have to wait to get another unmolested eBay 16G in at the shop though. The last two I rebuilt were the eBay 20G's, and in order for me to get photos of the scale displaying the weight of each wheel they have to be the same size. I can't compare the weight of the 20G wheel because it will obviously be heavier.

Keep your eye to the Tech forums in the future.

Not to bring up an old thread but FP has a great vids on how to set the preload on wastegates.. Its under their Info center..

Great right ups. Thank you so much I am more aware of the situation now. Is it the same for the eBay 20g turbos?
