would it be bad to run a vented bov on my 2gtalon(all stock). if so would it cause my car to throw a code( check engine light). thanks for any input :)

LAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, god dude do u know how to read anything or search AT ALL!?!?!? VENTING THREADS ARE ALL OVER THESE FORUMS

i think it would be bad. I had to run mine once for half a day vented and it didnt throw a code. ran like ass though, and thats with a non-leaking greddy type-s. I was putting my intake on and the recirculation tube didnt fit on the new intake..

Yes it would be bad to vent it, as the MAS has already accounted for that air, and when it escapes to atmosphere your engine will have a period in which it runs extremeley rich, to the point that if you rev the engine with the clutch in, you can stall out. If your heart is set on venting to atmosphere, and you want to do it the right way, look into a GM MAF and a MAF Translator, i beleive dejontool.com sells a hard upperintercooler pipe setup for the MAF sensor. Also, the search is your friend; 99.9 percent of all the questions i've had since owning my car i've been able to find the answer to by simply searching, so i seldom have to ask a question thats been answered 100 times in the past month. Good luck to ya,

yeah you run into that problem because you are losing metered air that the computer is already putting fuel to the engine for...you need a fuel management system to fix the idle mixture for venting BOV to the atmosphere.i think HKS's fuel comp has settings for that, but i am pretty sure the AFC doesn't,unless the new design does, haven't messed with one yet. :)

well nm then, hehe, was answered while i was typing my reply,( my typing skills need much work )...LOL

thanks for all the input. my questions were answered. and i will try to find my answers befor i start posting them. still kind of new but thanks for letting me know
