I'm in the process of rebuilding my cylinder head. The head is a 2g I had it surfaced and the seats cut for supertech .5 oversized valves.
After lapping in the valves I went up top and checked my tip height and they are all coming in around 1.88xx at the tip of the stems.
I'm running Manley springs and titanium retainers I have new keepers and I'm using the stock .040 seats at least that's what I have.
Measuring my installed height I'm shooting for 1.530 spring height and on the intake I've hit it pretty much bang on.
My issue is with the exhaust, I don't have the exact numbers in front of me. But I'm hitting 1.500 and 1.49xx installed height on the exhaust.
I'm using gsc s2 cams which my cam card states with the stock rocker ratio puts my lift at .434 coil bind on the springs is .950 according to Manley. Which only gives me about .1xxx clearance from bind I'm not sure if that's safe.
So my question is without recessing the valves deeper into the seats which I'd like to avoid given my pretty even tip heights. I'd like to go with some offset keepers in the -.030 or -.050 variety which I'm finding very difficult to find for a 4g63.
Or should I just nut up and go with a different spring which I'd hate because this is what I have and I'd hate to be in the same boat and out another additional 2 to 400 dollars.
Also the engine will not be revved above 8 limiter will be set around 8500 or 8250 will be automatic.
Thanks guys sorry for the long post

and worrying to much over .020 when I clearly have the space.
