valve guides

how do i remove my valve guides to replace them

take it to the shop and have them pressed out

I agree, my last set took a lot of heat and a lot of pressure to pop out.

to remove the valve guides you need to heat the head in an oven or something and knock the valve guides out with a valve guide driver and a hammer. A machine shop can do it for cheap. I would not recommend doing it yourself because if you score or scratch the valve guide on the inside you will ruin the valve and the guide.
