My valve cover seems to be leaking from right above the exhaust manifold. I started it in maybe 10 degree weather. oil pressure was up over 60 at start and lowered to 40 within a minute or 2. I think i have excessive oil pressure causing this leak. I have installed a oil catch can to help take away pressure. The gasket is new and siliconed so it shouldn't leak on its own. I have noticed however that someone plugged the holes that are drilled in the cover near the cam gears, maybe this has something to do with it. This is a 2g valve cover if that matters.

Thanks for any and all help.

Why do with a standard size thread in the head when you can get the 6x1.0 just as easily?

I did it because they are so standard. Like I have like a billion of them at work. Just saying. You can go with whatever you want too. But Napa sells them.

Yea i found some lag bolts in my shed that fit just fine. A little long but i just used washers. Lets just say i stopped the leak after installing the 3 missing bolts. Thanks guys. I took her out last night and the only problems now is that you can see when i press the brake or anything my head lights flicker a little for like a milisecond. Sometimes it even kills the car. And When i turned it off i had nothing anymore(guages power or anything) till i slammed my door and it all came back. Im thinking it is a leaky ecu. What about you guys?

Yea i was thinking it was something connecting the positive to the chassis or something to that affect. Any good ideas where to look? Im guessing its somewhere around my driver door area. Also my stereo shuts off when you play it loud. Something isn't getting the right connection.

I would start with the door switches down at the lower back of each door opening. They are notorious for corroding and causing electrical issues (although usually they just prevent the dome light from coming on).

If you are losing all power completely, it sounds like you have a bigger short somewhere...and I would expect a blown fuse to pop up sooner or later.
