im planing on welding an fittings on my valve cover, i have 6an, 8an and 10an, at first i was planing on going with 10an, but my budy that is welding the fittings on the valve cover tolled me there was no need to have them that big i could get away with 6an.

well my question is can i get away with 6an?
also, if i weld them face up 6an, 8an or 10an with a 90* on them will i clear the hood?

i would test fit it my self but i have no motor in the car.
thankx guys

Thanks. BTW, CT78155 did the VC for me. Here are some pics.

I love how CT78155 didn't PC the top where the oil cap goes gives it a look more like a factory :thumb::applause::applause:

And I must say I wouldn't want to hurt that VC either its just to pretty.

I've got -10 An fittings tapped into mine, forget welding that. I just got a tap, and a drill bit, and went to town then put some thread sealant on them, and had them powder coat them.

Is that "thread sealant" JB Weld? :aha:

Nope, everyone asked if its JBweld. But it was a tube that I had for awhile, and it seemed grey. It was a metal filler/sealer is what the tube said.

I'm so confused as to what you guys with AN fittings do with the pcv valve . Can someone shed some light for me please? Do you maybe run an inline check valve instead or just eliminate the pcv valve altogether?

I have a filtered catch can from RRE, is it possible to weld AN fittings to the catch can and run the lines from the VC breather and stock pcv inlet/outlet to the catch can? I've been trying to search for answers, but it seems as though every thread results in a different setup. Any suggestions?

GSXTACY, what you need to do is figure out what size the threads are in your Catchcan, im guessing 3/8, then just get a 3/8 to either 6,8,10 an fitting(Your Choice). Then you will need to either drill and tap fittings into your valve cover like I did, or have someone weld them on like others have. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me, Ill give you part numbers, and the exzact deal I went through.

You copy'n sonofabitch,. haha.,. Nearly identical to my setup only I modded the fuel rail, and I have a mitsu cover. I'm selling it though, and making a new one with an's on it.. Should have done it first, but live and learn.. And spend more money.

LOL too late , he tok it home tonight with 2 fitting welded into the top (90* fittings ) I've already done the straight fitting and tried a 90* elbow on it on my 2g and it will NOT work..unless you want a second "power bulge" in your hood (that's what the aftermarket calls the timing gear clearance bulge LOL )
