I did the EGR delete a couple months ago while my engine was out. Putting it back in now, and Im having a brain fart on what this line is. Any ideas?

Sorry to thread jack, but it is regarding the EVAP too.

Anyone know where two circled nipples in green are supposed to route to? They didn't have any vacuum lines on my car and I recently failed the emissions and evap portion of the smog. The lines going to the tank (circled in red) look fine, but I think I'll replace them anyways just in case since that is where they pinch off the lines to perform the test.

Nm, I followed the 95-97 vacuum diagram and traced the lines from the two solenoid and found that one of the vacuum line coming from the purge solenoid was not connected. On the picture in my last post, it's supposed to be connected to the off-white port. From what I researched, the port on top is just a atmospheric vent.
 
I left mine open, it rarely smells of fumes and if it does it's very faint.

Thanks. Yeah I was reading up on the purge valve, and I'm hoping that the disconnected hose was the cause of the high HC's. I'm not sure if this will fix the failed EVAP (pressure test) however, but I'm feeling pretty confident that it will pass the emissions now.

If it doesn't pass the EVAP test again, then I'll have to have a shop do a smoke test. Perhaps it's something else between the filler neck and the EVAP canister that's faulty. Do most mechanical shops perform this kind of work? I've never had that done before.

I had a smoke test done at an Autolab where my buddy works. Fixed a bunch of leaks that way. I can't say much on emissions though since we dont have that here. Probably best answered by someone else in Cali
 
Had the smoke test done and they found two leaks (not near the EVAP canister). One was at the fuel pump to fuel tank seal, and the other was the rollover safety valve. They replaced both and re-tested. After the fix the EVAP test reading was like .029, when before I was getting around high .040's.

I also went ahead and had them weld in a replacement magnaflow california legal one. Getting it tested tomorrow and hopefully it will pass just fine.
