you can even find mint gsx's with 350-400whp for less than 10k

i would even agree with buying an evo if you wanted something newer and more reliable

Do you not realize that you could spend maybe 1/3 of that amount (or less), and have a built 500-600 hp motor THAT FITS WITH NO EXTRA FABRICATION AND HEADACHES?

But hey... if you wanna throw all that money and work at an unreliable 350 hp motor... more power to ya man.

But seriously

You know... if you just really like the look of a DSM and want something "different" but not necessarily fast (like a RWD drift car or something), at least do something that makes some type of sense. I mean if you are set on destroying the car anyway, then do it with some style; go with a blown chevy SB 350 or LS1, Bowtie V6, SB Ford....something...anything with potential, rather than a heavy under-powered and notoriously unreliable motor.

If you want something that is fast and isn't a hacked-to-hell POS that resembles your screen name :)D)... Then spend 15k on a fully built and tricked out 4G63t, kick everyone's butt on the street and track, and look good doing it.

And for GOD'S SAKE loose the wing!

I'm going to be less rotten and just say get a nice clean DSM, build the motor, and do it right. Or get someone who can. Then get a really nice paint job, get all the dents out of the car, freshen up the interior with newer OEM panels and parts and have yourself the cleanest DSM ever. Basically restore it and get it to have 500+ horsepower. Its all you need. What more could you ask for? That won't even be a ton of money, or even half of your loan:thumb:

If you honestly want that motor out of the 3000gt, then go buy a VR-4 and build the motor, and keep it in that car. That would be an expensive thing to do, but still, you'll need more HP out of it to get it as fast as a DSM can be, but still. You'll have AWD, and All wheel steering too! and at over 52 mph, it handles like its on rails. You rarely see 3000gt VR-4's, even running ones and you want to tear the motor out of it for your "project." That will turn into you wrecking another rare car for it so your whole project is vain from the get go. Its not simply because its too hard to do the swap, its also because clean VR-4's are getting harder to find.
 
Oh this guy again, A few days ago he was telling us how he can drift like a pro in his fwd with ease :rolleyes: He's just try to start trouble, He always gets everybody fired up then disappears
 
This kid is going to be in debt for the rest of his life, are you serious about this or are you just joking? If you pull out a $40k loan to use on your car I'd hope you're making some serious change, and if you are then what's the point of the loan? What type of interest rate did you get? You're going to regret this for the rest of your life, if you seriously want to build your car up start saving up the money off each paycheck and do it the smart way so you're not in debt for the rest of your life. We all understand that you only live once, but I personally don't want to live my life paying a $600 bill and only paying off the interest, you'll end up paying $100,000 if your interest rate sucks by the time you get it paid off. But I know what I say isn't going to influence what another guy does, but I'll add my .02 anyway, build 6 bolt 450+ whp + jackstrans + clean dsm = what else would you want?

ok ok ok im selling the car today the guy is comeing in like 30mins i have been up most of the night and i found a 91 gsx with 125k miles on it has 6/4 bolt i was thinking about droping a 2.1 destroker in it with shep trans and im wanting to now whats a good turbo togo with this motor big power ###?
 
Aww too bad, my cousin's buddy's roommate's uncle's brother-in law dropped a 3KGT engine in his 93 NT Eclipse with no problems whatsoever. He said it was a straight drop-in and he even swapped AWD drivetrain in it. Things a beast.
 
i want to put a VR4 in my RS. im willing to spend the money, just don't know wut need to do. can someone help me?
 
It Would Be Real Nice For You To Be The First. Is The 2001 Eclipse V6 Similar To The 3000gt Engine? I Think It Is.
