I was told by a fellow DSMer that I can check to see what codes I am throwing by using an analog volt meter, but he wasn't sure exactly how to do it. I looked through my Haynes manual, but I didn't find anything. Does anyone know how?

I did this to find out my coolant temp sensor was bad. Simply switch the meter to beep mode and hook it up to the diagnostcal port with some little wiring clip thingies. I dont remember which pins. Its in my chiltons manual, buts my manuals not here. Wish I could help more, but yes its possible. Look through your manual again you might find a how to

I found it in there, I just didn't look in the right place haha. Thanks tho.

I just tried to do it and nothing happened. Does anyone know what the volt meter has to be set on? For options there are OHM X 1 K, DC mA 0.5, DC mA 50, DC mA 250, AC V 10, AC V 50, AC V 250, AC V 500, DC V 10, DC V 50, DC V 250, and DC V 500.
