420A using a 4g63 turbo clutch line for 420a

    So I am having a really hard time finding a clutch line for my 420a eclipse. Specifically the hardline that runs from the master cylinder to that hose in the middle and the one that runs from the hose to the slave cylinder. My question is can you use lines from a 4g63 engine for my 420a? Please help. Im trying get this car running by next school year.

    No, they're completely different as the 420a transmission is on the driver's side. You could use a braided stainless line to get around using a stock hardline/softline combo. I recently put a braided stainless line on my clutch and I like the feel much better than the worn out stock rubber line, and I was able to get rid of some clutter with the bracket and stock hardline.

    I actually used a Honda line as it was 25 bux vs 80 for the DSM one. Search around and you should be able to find about a 35-40 inch long one on eBay/amazon, just have to verify the fitting sizes in the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder before you order.

    The hard lines are different but I believe the braided line that goes from the hardline to the slave will work. It's been a long time since I changed mine.

    Yeah, I have the hose I just need the two hardlines. The one that connects to the master cylinder and the one that connects to the slave cylinder.

    My braided line replaced the hardline that attached to the slave. The braided line attaches right to the slave

    Any advice on how to find a line? I've searched everywhere and I don't have the tools to make my own.

    If the 420a slave has the same thread as the 4g63 one, THIS is the same as the one I got. I'd double check the fitting sizes at the clutch master and the banjo bolt on the slave cylinder before ordering.

    Yes, completely replaces the stock hard and rubber lines all the way from master to slave. It is a tad long, but I was able to route mine nicely and it's only about 5-6" too much. But at 1/3 the cost of a DSM specific one, I wasn't gonna bi***.

    The 420a slave is much closer to the master then the 4g63. It may end up being way to long. Just check first

    Just FYI, I believe the part numbers you're looking for are MB910565 and M04670066 (or 04670066 from Chrysler). It looks like the first one is still widely available. Personally, I'd get a replacement from the junkyard or replace them with braided SS lines like the others suggested.

    So this line works kinda...it connects to the master cylinder, but doesnt connect to the slave without one of these bad boys. On the 420a that is. 4g63 could be different. So the real question is, where the hell can I get one LOL. I can't find them anywhere. I checked just about every local hardware and auto store and nothing. Started looking online still nothing. What is this thing even called? It came with the master but I need one for the slave. PLEASE HELP

    It's a AN (Army/Navy) fitting to double flare fitting in whatever the thread pitch is, probably m10x 1.00 or 1.25.

    Check O'reillys Auto Parts if there's one close to you, two of the stores close to me stock Earl's fittings on the shelf, and may be able to order it for you at the least.

    If you can find the thread size of the double flare (side for the slave) I'm sure I could find one for you online in about 3 seconds.

    Edit- if the one you have threads on to both the master and slave equally and fully, it should be: inverted flare m10x1.00 to -4an, like THIS.

    *You may want to verify if your clutch line is 3 or 4an, and you'll still want to verify the thread pitch/size on the slaves inverted flare. But that should get you close.
