420A using a 4g63 turbo clutch line for 420a

So I am having a really hard time finding a clutch line for my 420a eclipse. Specifically the hardline that runs from the master cylinder to that hose in the middle and the one that runs from the hose to the slave cylinder. My question is can you use lines from a 4g63 engine for my 420a? Please help. Im trying get this car running by next school year.

No, they're completely different as the 420a transmission is on the driver's side. You could use a braided stainless line to get around using a stock hardline/softline combo. I recently put a braided stainless line on my clutch and I like the feel much better than the worn out stock rubber line, and I was able to get rid of some clutter with the bracket and stock hardline.

I actually used a Honda line as it was 25 bux vs 80 for the DSM one. Search around and you should be able to find about a 35-40 inch long one on eBay/amazon, just have to verify the fitting sizes in the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder before you order.

Yeah, I have the hose I just need the two hardlines. The one that connects to the master cylinder and the one that connects to the slave cylinder.

My braided line replaced the hardline that attached to the slave. The braided line attaches right to the slave

Any advice on how to find a line? I've searched everywhere and I don't have the tools to make my own.

If the 420a slave has the same thread as the 4g63 one, THIS is the same as the one I got. I'd double check the fitting sizes at the clutch master and the banjo bolt on the slave cylinder before ordering.

Yes, completely replaces the stock hard and rubber lines all the way from master to slave. It is a tad long, but I was able to route mine nicely and it's only about 5-6" too much. But at 1/3 the cost of a DSM specific one, I wasn't gonna bi***.

The 420a slave is much closer to the master then the 4g63. It may end up being way to long. Just check first

Just FYI, I believe the part numbers you're looking for are MB910565 and M04670066 (or 04670066 from Chrysler). It looks like the first one is still widely available. Personally, I'd get a replacement from the junkyard or replace them with braided SS lines like the others suggested.

So this line works kinda...it connects to the master cylinder, but doesnt connect to the slave without one of these bad boys. On the 420a that is. 4g63 could be different. So the real question is, where the hell can I get one . I can't find them anywhere. I checked just about every local hardware and auto store and nothing. Started looking online still nothing. What is this thing even called? It came with the master but I need one for the slave. PLEASE HELP

Check O'reillys Auto Parts if there's one close to you, two of the stores close to me stock Earl's fittings on the shelf, and may be able to order it for you at the least.

If you can find the thread size of the double flare (side for the slave) I'm sure I could find one for you online in about 3 seconds.

Edit- if the one you have threads on to both the master and slave equally and fully, it should be: inverted flare m10x1.00 to -4an, like THIS.

*You may want to verify if your clutch line is 3 or 4an, and you'll still want to verify the thread pitch/size on the slaves inverted flare. But that should get you close.

Ok so i got it. I was putting every thing on and everything is right on the adapter you sent accept the male flare (the one that's pointed out, I think that's what it's called) is too big. At first

At first I noticed that the inside of the part was a lot bigger than the one I had,but I didn't think that would matter, but I guess it doesis that what 4An means because if it is than I need a smaller size. The inside of the one i bought was too big.

I got the one that you sent me. the one off of the Honda. It was quite smaller than the part I just bought. It didnt look like one size difference.

What type of double flare fitting did you need? It would be exactly what I need. I didn't see a size or anything on the Honda line I bought. I looked on ebay in the description. I could just try 3AN, but I really don't want to get the wrong part again.

I didn't need any adapters as the factory turbo car fits with a banjo bolt, the line I ordered bolted right up, save been slightly long.

Which end do you need the adapter for, slave cylinder, or master cylinder? Then, what side doesn't fit, the double flare that goes into said slave/master, or the line side?

Take some pictures of what doesn't fit where, I can't decipher your descriptions

I currently don't know where my phone is so I cant take pictures right now. The master cylinder came with a double flare AN fitting. So I just need one for the slave. The slave needs EXACTLY what the master cylinder came with. It was a 10x1.00 thread one flare male and the other female. The problem with the one I just got (the 4AN one) was that the inside was to big. The diameter of the inside of line is much smaller then the diameter of the inside of the 4AN fitting I just ordered. So if 4AN is the size of the inside, I need a smaller size. I might just try 3AN or ask a local hardware store what size it is.

Does it not thread together? I wouldn't be too concerned about the actual flow diameter, as long as it threads together and secures you really won't notice a difference.

If it doesn't thread together and the problem is that the fittings threads are too large for the line, you will probably need a -3an fitting with the double flare side the same as the first piece you ordered. I just need clarification on what part "isn't fitting".

This is why I recommended measuring and checking sizes before ordering anything.
