Anyone know a good turbo (direct fit for a 2g)? The one on there is not original. Some Garret m10.?.? Thinking of looking for a used one here a lot of 16g good stuff but I need to find a used one pretty cheap (funds) and what car it would have been on originally. Just looking for one that's easy to work with and worth having for a little while.

The car came with a T25. A t28 will bolt up to a stock setup, but if it doesn't have a stock turbo on it now, you will need to find out what it is. It may have a non -stock manifold / plumbing.

great thanks. I actually read that but just overlooked it. anyone know what (if any) a 16g or t28 would have been on? I'm going to try to find a used one from like a body shop that was totaled or whatever. Found a Mits VR-4 tt but don't know what is on it.

As far as I know, a 16g wasn't offered in anything that was sold in the states - at least one that bolts up to an eclipse. Bolt on t28's are also an after market thing.

Best bet would be to find a 14b out of a 1g eclipse. You will also need at least a J pipe to run a 14b or 16g on your 2g.

3000GT VR4s and Stealth RT/TTs came with twin 9b turbos, stock. You do not want these as they are smaller than the T25 that originally came on your car.

And for the record, the original T25 turbo for your car is a Garrett unit, so that may very well be what you have. Here's a picture of a T25 (left) compared to a 16g (right):

As eurytopic mentioned, a 14b from a 5-speed 1990-1994 Eclipse would be a good choice for a low cost solution. It's smaller than a 16g, but more affordable and still more fun than the original T25. A 16g obviously has more potential so depending on what you want out of the car, you might wait until you have the funds to get one of those and supporting mods.
