My turbo finally went and i was wondering if you guys had any website's to where i can get a decent turbo for a decent price. I would like to go with a 16g turbo or a 14b if i have to. I'm looking for a turbo that can handle 24psi without going out on me. Ive seen some godspeed turbo's on the net and have heard some good and bad stuff about them and a few other turbo's and a few other turbo's out there.

I think that it will be more money fixing my turbo that i have because of the compressor housing and the compressor fin being damaged.

I'm thinking that I am just going to rebuild it with a friend that has rebuilt quite a few turbo's already and they have worked out good. These are the items that I am looking to get with it tell me what you think about them.

my rebuild kit is going to be from tradergreg on ecarter
Mitsubishi TD05 TD06 Major Turbocharger Rebuild Kit

and since my compressor wheel and housing are messed up I am going with this from ebay
Turbo Compressor Housing TD05H + Wheel EVO3 16G DSM 1G | eBay

The first link doesn't work..The 2nd link is a compressor wheel for a 16g..But I wouldn't buy one off ebay..It could be a china made compressor wheel..

I agreee with Absit..A 9b or 13g on 24 psi will not require fuel mods...But will just blow hot air after a certain point..

But still 24 psi is just a number..24 psi on a 14b, and on a 16g are two different things..Unless he has fuel mods already..But he doesn't have his profile very updated..

why, on earth, would you just shoot for a specific psi??? In that case he could just couple his intake to about 1 inch and have 24 psi and about 150hp cause the pressure would be high but, flow would be low. Better yet, blow it through a straw and get 24 psi at just over idle speed. (sorry being a bit rude but, psi means little.

Unless he tells us what he wants, 24 psi is just low tire pressure. It sounds like he might want 300whp if he uses a 16g and many other mods to support it or about 275 with a 14b, again with a lot of support.

Point is, a properly working turbo can handle 24 psi not matter the size. The only thing I see is that with a smaller turbo, you can spool much faster and with that much psi, if you can cool down the intake, you can get decent top end out of it as well. I am still up in the air as to what he wants out of his car....:hmm:

And what do you want to do with that 24 PSI? Do you just want your gauge to read 24 PSI? Do you have any actual goals?

The way i bought my car the boost controller was rigged to the a/c button( car has no a/c) so that when the a/c is off the car is limited with 14psi, but when you hit the a/c button twice the boost controller takes the psi up to 24, so my car already runs with 24psi with a 16g on high boost but my turbo took a crap on the high boost probably from being old and worn out. I just wanted a turbo that would be as reliable on 24psi as it is on 14 psi.

He is also gonna need fuel mods and something to tune with for the 24psi.

I already have the fuel mods and tuning part of it. I need to go through my profile and update it. fuel mods i have are aeromotive AFPR, FIC 850 injectors, and a 255l fuel pump.

What i would like out of the car is to be streetable and reliable.

Not going to be reliable without a good intercooler that is not listed on your page and you did not mention it either. The stock sidemount is not going to help you get 300 whp at all. What size piping do you have? Now we know the fuel, what about the rest of it. The cams will definately help but, you need some other stuff as well.

i still have the stock piping with stock sidemount. what do you think a decent affordable fmic would be?

I am not an intercooler person so, not sure what to tell you there. Others on here are more familar with them. You will need one, that I can tell you. Your sidemount will get heatsoaked pretty quickly with such a larger turbo (for a sidemount)

Some advice for you though, I would recommend getting a custom job done on it and use aluminum piping with as few turns as possible. The aluminum will be lighter and dissipate heat better than steel. Probably be good, if you can make it work, to get 2.5-3 inch piping incase you want to run a larger turbo down the road.

Others will chime in here to help you better with this.

Intercooler prices vary greatly. hard to say what a good yet, cheap one will cost. Probably around 600+ can be much more.

Punishment Racing FMIC Kit: 90-94 Eclipse/Talon

This is a decent intercooler kit for the price, you can get it a little cheaper through cxracing on ebay, but Punishment racing is a good company, so imo its worth having the customer support. Get yourself some good tbolt clamps though, so far i've broken and replaced three on my kit.

looks like a pretty good kit, do you have any install pics?
