Used Injectors

I have the stock 450's in my car and I am ready to start doing some serious boosting. So to do that I obviously need to upgrade my injectors. I was looking through the classifieds and found some for sale. My question to everyone is that is it okay to buy used injectors or should I just drain my bank account more and buy new ones. Suggestions for size as well would be appreciated. I have a big 16g, FMIC, ECMlink V3. Thanks

It's just in the risk bro. But usually people that get bigger injectors, also have a way of controlling them either with a piggy back or standalone. Not to mention a better fuel fump and a RRFPR.

Used injectors are fine. Since you already have DSMLink, look for something in the 850cc or larger range, that way your not buying injectors again soon. Also, FIC will clean and flow test injectors for less $100.

Lots of us here used ones, got mine off ebay cheap never gave me a problem. Or spend the money for new ones.

Used ones are good, just make sure to buy a set from a working car.

Okay thanks for the info guys. I am going to start to look for 850's or higher. Still waiting on my wideband as well. Another question is do they wear out? I know they can get clogged up and need cleaning.

G'day.
If you are upgrading engine HP and giving it some stick, I would think a yearly clean and test would be a good piece of maintenance on the injectors. I had a leanout at high rpm and melted a piston...Very messy...

no need to. the stock one flows enough for 600+ hp

I would check the classifieds. 850's can be had for $200

Ive had good luck with used injectors. If you paranoid like me you might want them to get cleaned and flow tested. Theres a place that does it for 20$ an injector. Heres the link:WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services
