I've read just about everything on the forums for this window trim, and I have no idea what it's actually called. Anyway Does anyone know the proper way to paint them or can a guy buy them somewhere in this day and age.

They are called drip moldings. They have been discontinued for a long time so the only other options are to find another used set that’s better or paint your current set. Plasti-dip seems to work best for most.

The only thing that bothers me is that when the old paint is stripped off and you re paint them its missing that extra little bit that overlaps the metal if you know what I mean.

We should find out who made them originally, and have them punch out a batch, or find out who makes them currently for other cars and see if they can make some for us in a group buy, they are actually complex in design, they are tin on the inside and rubber along the edges with a rubber like coating on the flat areas, they also have complex compound bends and curves to them.

Even if they sold them for say 100 bucks a piece I would still snatch them up. They are so hard to find in good shape. Even if you find them in good shape the rubber is old and faded.
