Upper rad hose clearance issue. Ideas?

Well, I have a very interesting project going on in the 2g gsx, and my radiator hose doesnt seem to want to clear the true split port manifold holding an evo10 EF4 turbo..

Any ideas on how to bypass this? Probably cut and re-weld the inlet of the radiator to somewhere else, or could i use aluminum piping with a heat shield to bypass the manifold?

Sorry for the picture quality, digital cam died, so im using my ipod until further notice.

You best bet would be to cut the neck off and weld it further over or just run a 1g radiator which has the neck on the passenger side.

The lower mount spots are the same. The uppers are like a quarter inch different. The rubber in the mount will stretch to make up for it. So yes it bolts right in. The lower hose is in the same location also.

Ya getting a 1G radiator will probably be your best bet. Although you could always try something like I did and get a piece of piping and couplers and custom bend it to fit your setup. I like the way it looks personally.

Hmmm The 1g radiator I got I had to modify both the top and bottom.. Did the pins on the bottom to make them fit into the 2g mounts, then the top brackets to fit the 1g rad.. From my experience they were both about 1/4-1/2'' off.

EDIT: you know now that I think about it, I think I modified the bottom pins to move the radiator over a 1/2 to clear my upper IC pipe through the core support. I dont remember if it fit right in though..

Here is a pic of the top mounts.. You can rotate the brackets to fit only one bolt in each and it will hold but it looked ugly so I modified mine..

You can get both bolts in the top. You just have to stretch it over. The inner rubber will flex enough for it to slide over. I've got a 1g with metal tanks in my 2g and the bottom pins fit perfect, only the top were slightly different.

I run a Civic half size, holds temps fine and makes plenty of room to do work in the turbo area

I have heard bad things about running a Half rad in a daily driver setup. Anyone run one in a street car? this car is a daily driver, pushing around 600 to the wheels
