So on my 1995 eagle talon my rear upper control arms are literally 1 inch from rubbing my wheels I think is because the wheels that the previous owner put on are pretty big has 19” on my car an was thinking about running 15 or 16 to one get it away from rubbing the upper control arms and two maybe lower the car a bit do to me getting smaller wheels i was just wondering your guys opinions on this

wheel diameter is the only parameter. You need to consider wheel width and offset. What is the current width and offset?
I’m say the width is about 14 but now that I think about it it’s definitely the offset because not only do I not remember the off set but from me looking at it it’s definitely the offset bruh

If you jack it up on axle stands. Undo the lower shock mount bolt and jack the wheel up you can check if its going to foul the arms before it hits the fender! You likely will hit bodywork first but its the best way to manually check and confirm vs a theory and guessing it will!

It will take you about 30mins all in from start to finish to confirm if your worries are legit or void.

Could it also be the fact that I have negative camber as well? Is not a crazy tilt or nothing but maybe a slight tilt would still get in the way right ?

On stock arms the offset will cause more issue then camber since stock arm camber is done on the inner body mount. So that likely wont be your issue, people have run bigger wheels fine although i dont know why they do it but thats upto them!

I want to say your wheel ET is high so it places the wheels inwards alot more. If you take some pics or find the et out we can advise here online but by the time you done that would could find out yourself for real if its a problem by doing my suggestion above and self check

I only have a picture of how close the upper control arm is to the tire I’m not home right now but when I get home I’ll do the self check

Thats not a control arm! Thats the knuckle! This will not differ under any motion at all, tire will deflect but not enough to worry about! How you have it now is perfectly fine.

When you said arms i thiught you ment upper arms which is a bit weird but its why i asked so many questions and gave options but pics speak a million words!!! Mine is close then this as i had to shave mine down for my 295 race tires.

Another thing you can do if you wish is buy 2GB rear knuckles! They offer more arch clearance if your really worried. But i would not be as i said above it done not move from that spot towards the knuckle anymore once bolted up

Ohh Alr man thanks for informing me I’m still a bit new to all of this only had it for 3 months Well that’s one less thing I gotta worry about I guess thanks

Another thing you could do to get the clearance you want is to use a wheel spacer .. If you do go this route make sure to buy a hubcentric spacer ...

A 14 inch wide wheel means you'd be running at least a 345 tire. Based on your picture I can see that tire is at least 10mm wider than the rim, so you'd be running a 365 tire... all you need to do is get the measurements off the sidewall of your tire. I wouldn't think they're any wider than 245's unless you have a hefty offset.
