So I found out through this site that even though I'm rebuilding my engine, since it is non turbo and I'm not doing anything real big with it, I don't need to upgrade my head studs, but do I need to if I plan on upgrading the fuel system? I'm going to be upgrading the pump, injectors and fuel rail, so do I need to get the new head studs or not?

Why would you be upgrading the fuel system on a n/t if you aren't doing anything big with it?

But no, you don't need to upgrade the head studs just because you have bigger injectors or a bigger fuel pump.

Before you waste a lot of time and money, what is the intended result of this rebuild?

It's unlikely you need to upgrade the fuel system, and upgrading it will not make more power.

A fuel system supports power, it doesn't produce it.

Well, eventually (say a year or two down the road) I plan on dropping a different engine in, either turbo or rebuild mine again but do more to it at that time. I don't plan on upgrading the fuel system till then. Thanks for the information though.

dont wate your money to build a non turbo engine...it pointless you can find aturbo ecu and add a wire with a 4g63t and wala u have a boosted gs

Now I've heard horror stories about this though, so is that all I would have to do then? Would I need to upgrade the internals at all? I would greatly appriciate it if you could tell me, cause in that case I may just do it now! Thank you.
