Hey guys, I currently have 93octane in the tank since I removed my 255lph and installed a 450lph pump. I installed some FIC BM 1450's and can't get the engine to start. I have set the global to -69.1% and dead time at 330usec. It cranks over but won't start. I checked the plugs and cyl 3 had a melted tip and porcelain. I replace them with new plugs, still nothing. I've got fuel press, spark, and compression. I believe it's my settings. Do these injectors just dislike gasoline? I would think they could still at least idle on it. I feel like I'm missing something. Any help is very much appreciated. Need this thing running before tnt this weekend.t

After calling FIC they said the dead times are way low, so I swapped the plugs and swapped my 850's back in and adjusted global back to -47.9 and dead time to 330. It is still dumping fuel into the cylinders fouling the plugs. The car started perfectly until I swapped the fuel pump and injectors. I did also rewire the fuel pump with the STM kit at the same time.

Plugs are as follows 1,2,3,4. Cyl 1 & 2 don't look nearly as fouled as 3 and 4

Any suggestions?

Sanity check, turn the key to ON and kick the fuel pump on from ECMLink's "misc." tab and listen for it. If it kicks on check your AFPR gauge making sure it's holding 43.5psi whatever you're running (I see the pictures but it's good to cover all the bases again).

Taking screenshots is great, if you want help it would be better if you attached a log file so we could actually look at your settings and not see 5% of what's going on. FWIW, those globals set to -69% aren't saved in that screenshot because I can see the fuel tab's got the red dot next to it. Did you save the settings?

You had a melted spark plug tip, why?

Im glad you mentioned the activate fuel pump feature. I did that and the fuel pressure wouldnt go below 49 psi. I did drill out the siphon to 1/8" when I did the 450 pump but that high fuel press. explains the dumping fuel and preignition that melted the plug tip. Im still on stock fuel lines. I posted a log. Mind you I swapped the FIC 850's back in. Do I need a larger return line and does it have to replace all of the metal lines?

I would say that your fuel pressure is way too high, one of the wiseman can answer better then I but maybe your afpr is being overrun? I've never heard of it happening unless the afpr is faulty. The other thing that concerns me is how uneven those spark plugs look.

You've got a AFPR which allows you to adjust your base fuel pressure down to where it needs to be (43psi) when you've got a bigger fuel pump. With the car off, key to the ON position, and ECMLink connected activate the fuel pump through the misc. tab. Loosen the lock nut on top of the AFPR and turn the allen head set screw until fuel pressure drops to 43psi. Don't forget to de-activate the fuel pump through Link before trying to start the car, nothing bad happens but typically you don't want the fuel pump activated every time you turn the key to the ON position.

If, for whatever reason, you can't get fuel pressure down to 43psi base then you can account for the add'l fuel pressure by adjusting for it with injector globals. When you're in the "fuel" tab if you click the calculate button (next to the injector global settings window) you'll notice you can change fuel pressure too, so Link will account for the add'l fuel pressure.

If my math is right...
43psi BFP and 850's (93oct) : -47%
50psi BFP and 850's become 915's : -51%

43psi BFP and 1450's (93oct) : -69%
50psi BFP and 1450's become 1560's : -72%​

Get your base fuel pressure in check (43psi) and try starting it with the 850's again or, if you can't lower base fuel pressure, account for it in your global fuel settings and see if she'll start. As far as your tune's concerned, odds are the MAFComp sliders will need some attention with the change in the fuel system and I also recommend selecting the "Use non-95/96 style CAS" under the "Misc" tab since (from what I can tell in your profile) you've got a '97-'99 style CAS on your car.
 
I tried adjusting link and the fpr, but its still fouling the plugs. Im ordering a -6AN e85 safe feed line kit (pump to rail) from STM in the morning. I will use the factory feed as my return. It needs to be done anyway. Im sure once I install this my fuel press will be back in check. Ive heard running e85 through the stock filter is a bad idea and its very restrictive. My goals are 600+ whp.
