updates on the talon build

For the past 2 months I have been working on a 95 Talon AWD build from a car that's been in the weeds a while. So the other night I was finally ready to pull the engine off the stand and mount the clutch and trans. Keep in mind this is being done at a friends garage. SO after getting everything ready I discovered that the clutch alignment tool I had was for a Suburu and does not fit out cars. Being a little dilerious from the cold and late night I decided it would be a great idea to try to eyeball it. After the first attempt I realized how stupid this was, I had had nothing to drink for hours. So after a cold snapple it was back to work. I adjusted the trans jack and took another look at the clutch alignment. At this time my buddies dad came home and bumped into the truck parked in the driveway. After checking to see if he was ok I grabbed my flashlight so I could check the alignment again. With the help of the light it was clear to me I was way far North West in position. After some slight adjustment I went for attempt #2. I got everything lined up and next thing I heard was a nice smooth click. Would you believe that silly thing slipped right into place!!! I bolted up the bell housing bolts and double checked, yup it's in good. A short time later my buddy came home and happily showed me that the mitsubishi alignment tool was in the drawer above the Suburu one.

Oh well, main thing is it's together. Can't wait to see what happens when I put the engine and trans in with my sons swing set as a hoist. Just Kidding.
