hey guys my bro is trying to tune is 91 eagle talon tsi build, i was wondering what are your input on his setup and what he can do to tune it right, this is what he has so far:

4g63t motor with wiseco pistons, 1g rods, cometic hp head gasket, ARP head botls, balance shaft removed, 2100 act clutch/flywheel, lsd rebuild tranny, 6262 precision turbo 4in inlet, 2g mas, fic 750cc injectors, 255 walbro fuel pump, custome build headers, 38mm tail waste gate, 2.5 uicp pipe, RFL bov, 31x12x3 intercooler, Apexi afc neo, ngk spark plug wires, ngk plugs bpr7es , 3in downpipe with apexi muffler, boost guage, and wideband..

he's taking the car to a shop on friday to dyno tune it.. just wanted to know what you guys think about his setup?

seems like a solid build. does he have a AFPR? if not he might consider one to regulate the fuel. Y did he choose the AFC neo? Y not ECMlink? i think he would get a much better tune with that. althought a neo is still ok. I just prefer the ECMlink.

Thats a big turbo and pretty big injectors for the neo. I'd ditch that and get link asap. Just my opinion

My car will never have link in it, ever. : D

His timing is going to be really off of what it should be. The 2g maf, and AFC make the ECU think it is flowing less. You may be able to compensate for that by twisting the CAS, but that lamer than V2 link with it's sliders. V3 link is better that it lets you update tables, but their SD system is goofy IMO. Why tune with a MAF first? Why not just tune the SD? Plus DSMap will always have a free version, so all you pay for is the ostrich and sensors.

Seems like it should rip, no matter what tuning device you go with. You may also want to consider E-85 if it's in your area. That would require bigger injectors, but I hear it's worth it, way worth it.
