Hey guys thanks for the help on installing the rod bearing, its in. The car is yet to knock but I haven't even put a mile on it. I drove it down the street and back. So let's see what happens. In the process of doing that stuff since the car was sitting for a good month. I lowered it, did a home depot lip kit, painted the brake calipers baby blue even though many didn't approve. This is what I'm left with at the moment.

Again thanks for the help. I know I'm just learning and it can get a little frustrating for some of you.

im confused whats a home depot lip kit?

I cant tell what he did by the picture, but Home Depot or similar stores is just slang/joke for a custom job with cheap parts!:thumb:

Like when my buddy used a tennis ball can as an intake for his 944.

No shit, were all inherently cheap. Were into rattly old dsm's. For under 10k you can have over 500whp LOL, not many other cars i can say that about.
Im not a fan of the lip mod but your car looks sharp dude. Good job. Dont get hopes too high on that rod bearing though. I dont wanna b a debbie downer but they usually last a few hundered miles.

Haha you act like you're driving a Ferrari.

I ahh don't have a HD.Just menards, and the people there couldn't find nuts and bolts standing in the aisle.

I have the garden liner lip. It's even more pricey than the HD lip,and don't look as good.LOL

come on now it was a good effort, give him props for tying at least. i say good job. he knows it 's not that durable but at least he tried. so instead of being a childish dick about i,t give him some supportive feedback at try not to chase the dude away, we wanna keep members and encourage them, not chase them away by doggin on them.

and I just might actually do that on my stroker 1G. about how much would you say does the job?

All it is, is door sealant with some screws. I also put armor-all on it every once in a while to keep it from looking like cheap rubber.
& haha most people don't usually realize its homemade.

Thanks for the support, and yeah if the car does go bad within a couple 100 miles I'm just gonna rebuild the engine. I won't get rid of it though.
