Trying to plan out a swap that is head turning but logical. I am aware that there are SRT 4 possibilities but really how exhausted is this already. Anyone know what else will fit, without major modifications to the engine bay ie. Cutting back fire wall

Any ideas?
 
that would be cool. you know they make a ls1 swap it for those.
 
I know 420a isn't much to start so I know alot is better than it. What can be swapped into my 2g rs body
 
Personally if I would have found out sooner that you can put the 6g motor from the gt3000 and stealth's that's what I would have done. It would be a tight fit but its been done before withe a 1g trans and the modification to one motor mount.

It's been done as well as the inline six from the skyline.

Most popular for a metro is a grand six.

Remove engine and all other accessories to save weight, then cut out a fairly large hole in front of the drivers side seat. -150hp, +1mp(man power):hellyeah:

I've thought I've had dreams about seeing it before a loooooong time ago, so maybe i really did somewhere! But I always thing of things i can drop this beast (4g63t) in just for kicks!

If you are going to 2.4 swap it from the cloud cars, you mite as well SRT build that...Everyone tries to do an actual SRT4 motor swap, not knowing alot of the neon guys use the 2.4 cloud car motors and build em with SRT internals and bolt ons, the wiring and such is alot more compatible.
 
there was a guy that lived closed to me that put a vr4 motor in a 95-99 neon, single turbo ran on megasquirt. also i had a klze v6 probe motor in a protege. i know its not dsm but they are unique swaps
 
i would like to see the vr4 motor as the 3000gt vr4 motor is bigger than the entire engine bay with the transmission. and he would have to totally fab the front end since the axles are different sizes for the tranny. unless he went to rwd which would involve turning the motor to get rid of the transverse mounting of the vr4 motor.

and a single setup with supporting mods on a 6g72tt motor costs about 7grand with more for supporting mods.

this swap makes no sense since with a lighter 4 cyl with more boost he would get better performance.
 
i have pictures. ill post them tomorrow or later tonight. idk how he did it but i saw it.
